Peek Inside a Successful Spiritual Life Coach’s Morning Routine!

September 5th, 2017 | 1 comment

We talk a lot about sisterhood here. Want to meet one of my very closest friends and favorite women in the world?

On this week’s Wake Up Wednesday I’m bringing you a sneak peek inside my all-in premium life coach training course, Mentor Masterclass. You’ll get to experience what women are learning as they become master life coaches. Each month, I feature a different celebrity mentor who not only shares her most powerful coaching tools, business practices, and mindset tips, but also what life really looks like as a successful CEO running a life coaching business.

Today you’ll meet one of the Mentor Masterclass celebrity mentors and one my best friends, Cora Poage. She’s the Owner of Sexy Soul Wellness and a Certified Holistic Health Coach with a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology.

Cora’s specialty is guiding her clients in co-manifesting the body AND life of their dreams through intuitive eating, exercising, and living. Her dream and passion is to assist others in making peace with their bodies, aligning with their Inner Wisdom, and living out their Authentic and Unique Life Purposes.

When you’re a successful master life coach like Cora, an intentional daily routine is a must. That’s why I’m so excited to bring you today’s video sneak peek of Mentor Masterclass where Cora shares her daily routine with all of us.

In today’s video, Cora shares how she “takes domain over her brain” from the moment she wakes up. And you can, too!

PRESS PLAY on the video below to drop into my conversation with Cora, or keep on reading below.

So what does Cora’s morning routine look like?

    1. As soon as she wakes up, she writes down any dreams she’s had.

Sometimes dreams will have powerful insights. Other times, it helps to get any nightmares or negative dreams out of your system right away – otherwise, they’ll continue taking up space in your subconscious and skew your thoughts in a negative direction. The result? You’ll be operating at a lower vibration all day.

To make sure this doesn’t happen, Cora immediately writes down everything she remembers from her dreams while they’re fresh in her mind.

    2. Surrender.

Next, Cora takes a moment to be still and simply surrender to Source. For you this might be called The Universe, God…whatever term resonates most strongly.

For Cora, this means simply rolling over and sitting on her bed. (Her cat Sawyer then sprints across the room to join her, every time.) Then she looks up and says to Source, “I surrender. Use me. Thank you so much.”

She asks for support and help from the angels and her spirit guides to stay out of her head and in her soul.

Why do this? Because we can’t do it alone! No one can. Don’t be afraid to ask the Universe for all the help you need.

    3. Cora clears her mind.

Cora has found that there’s less stress for her to manage during the day if she starts each morning by mentally detoxing.

The next piece of her morning routine is getting into Morning Pages – three pages of longhand, stream-of-consciousness writing done first thing in the morning. You’ll find this exercise in The Artist’s Way, an amazing book about discovering the magical link between your spiritual and creative self. Cora and I have each read it multiple times and love it! Be sure to check it out.

    4. Now that she’s out of her head, it’s time to move her body.

Cora’s now mentally ready to start her day, so she rounds out the mind/body connection by jumping into some exercise.

Now Cora’s ready to begin. She’s set herself up for success, and from there it’s simply maintenance throughout the day.

How about you: do you have a morning routine? What does it look like? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below!

    All my love,

  1. This is a very happy coincidence: I was just thinking today that I need something to stay focused all day. I know the power of intention and the power of writing. I decided from tomorrow to start my day by writing down my intentions for the new day: be nice to everybody, focus on my dreams, do some crafting or painting, be grateful….
