Today’s Featured Mentor – Brett Hoebel
You may recognize today’s celebrity mentor because he was a featured trainer on NBC’s popular series, The Biggest Loser. His name is Brett Hoebel, and he’s got a simple and energizing challenge for you today.
Brett is also a frequent guest on popular health and fitness shows like Dr. Oz, The View, and the Today show. Plus, he’s a contributing fitness expert for many top magazines like Fitness, Self, Women’s Health, Vogue, and Details.
For many of us, bringing in the New Year means more parties, celebrations, and get-togethers. Which also means more appetizers, special desserts, cocktails, and delicious treats. Brett is the perfect guest for today because his interview will help you enjoy yourself over the next few days without depriving yourself or feeling guilty. Plus, his challenge will help you feel energized and charged up for new beginnings and new possibilities in 2016.

3. Reflect & Renew
Here is today’s question for reflection:
After you’ve done today’s challenge, take a few minutes to be fully aware of how energized you feel after just 5 minutes of exercise.
Sometimes we forget how small steps (even 5 minutes) can make a big difference. Now take the concept a little further, and pick out at least one or two more things you can spend just 5 minutes on today.
After you do those things, write down a few notes about how great it feels to take small, simple steps toward improvement and self care.
4. Earn a Full Scholarship to Mentor Masterclass
If you’d like to be considered for a full scholarship to Mentor Masterclass, download a copy of the weekly Holiday Challenge Reflection & Support Guides (or “workbook”). A new chapter of the workbook will be available each week, on Saturdays.
The next chapter will be available on Saturday, January 2.
NOTE: The chapter guides are provided in .docx, you may edit this document by typing directly into it using Word, or choose to save your reflections/answers in another format [i.e., Pages, notepad] that works for you.
Each chapter contains the questions for videos you’ve already watched during the week, to help reinforce and review what you’ve learned. This means you will need to keep track of your progress during the week using a regular Word or Pages document (or a written journal). Then simply follow the instructions inside the workbook when you receive it.
The workbook is also your scholarship application. To be considered for the full scholarship, follow the instructions inside the workbook. Make sure to email your completed workbook (all three chapters) between Sunday, January 3rd and Monday January 4th. The deadline to enter is Monday, January 4th, 5pm Eastern.
We’ll choose a scholarship winner and announce her name during the live wrap-up call in January.
