Welcome to Day 4 of the Holiday Challenge!

Today’s featured mentor is Isabel Foxen Duke

Isabel has helped hundreds of women around the world stop feeling crazy around food – including celebrity clients like Ricki Lake. She has also been featured in Elle Magazine, Redbook, The Huffington Post, MindBodyGreen, and many others.

My conversation with Isabel is perfect for today because it takes the practice of self care a step further.  And it all boils down to this…

How we treat ourselves starts with our mindset. In other words, how we talk to ourselves and think about ourselves. Which means it really starts with having compassion for ourselves and not beating ourselves up.

Isabel is one of the core mentors who teach inside my signature coach training program, Mentor Masterclass. Isabel is a powerful teacher because she speaks from experience.  In her own words, she was a “points-counting, scale-weighing, tunic-wearing crazy person” around food. That is, until she finally learned how to make peace with food and her body through a change in thinking, rather than a change in diet.

Plus…Watch today’s video and I think you’ll be inspired when you hear Isabel’s “pinch me” story about what it felt like to have enough clients so she could finally leave her 9 to 5 job and be a full-time coach.

All set?  Let’s do this!

How to Play Full-Out

1. Watch the Video

Watch today’s video to learn what Isabel is teaching. At the end of the video she’ll give you today’s challenge. Follow her instructions and play along.

The daily challenges are designed to be fun and easy ways to practice what you learn in the videos, while having some holiday fun inside our supportive community of coaches and mentors at the same time.

Want more details about how to play?  Click here to watch the welcome video from Day 1 and get all the information you need.

2. Share & Win Prizes

Follow Isabel’s instructions (in the video) and then share on Instagram, Facebook, and / or Twitter, using the tags #MMHolidayChallenge, @RSVPwJey, and @IsabelFoxenDuke.

Also follow me on Instagram @RSVPwJey. This is the best place to make sure I personally see what you post.

We’re tracking tags and shares, so the more you play, the more chances you have to win.

3. Reflect & Renew

Here is today’s question for reflection:

First, identify an area of your life where you tend to be self-critical. After you’ve done that, switch it around and do a little role playing.

How would you speak to a dear friend who was struggling with the same situation? Think about the kind and loving things you would say to her, then switch your perspective and try talking to yourself with the same amount of compassion.

4. Earn a Full Scholarship to Mentor Masterclass

If you’d like to be considered for a full scholarship to Mentor Masterclass, start a Word or Pages document to keep track of your answers to the daily reflections. (See #3 above.) To be considered for the full scholarship, just email us a copy of your answers. The deadline to enter is Monday, January 4th, 5pm Eastern.

We’ll choose a scholarship winner and announce her name during the live wrap-up call on January 7th.

5. Join the Holiday Challenge Sisterhood

Lean in, receive support, and share in the heart-felt bonds we’re creating in the private Facebook group. (If you haven’t yet, click here to join us.)
