Exactly How Much Money Do Coaches Make In The First Year of Becoming A Life Coach

Ever since my coaching practice was featured on the front page of The New York Times, I’ve been teaching new and established coaches the exact same process that I used to quickly become a coach and a feminine leader — and to get paying clients within my first week of business. 

All of that, plus a waiting list all within 14 months of becoming a coach, and I became known as “the coaches’ coach.” It’s the reason I created my full-length signature program, Mentor Masterclass. Coaching is the second-fastest growing industry (next to information technology) in America right now. The International Coach Federation did a worldwide study back in 2012, and they discovered that coaching was a $2 billion industry. And the industry has been growing rapidly ever since! 

How Much Do Life Coaches Make An Hour?

If you want to know how much life coaches make per hour you first have to base this off their level of life coach training.  On a day-to-day basis, most personal coaches are charging between $100 and $300 an hour. Specialized coaches usually charge $500 an hour or more, and sometimes it’s into the thousands depending on the specialty and their client success record. 

How Much Money Do Life Coaches Make A Month?

If you want to know how much life coaches make each month you have to look at how much they are charging per hour, how many clients they have and how often they are meeting with their clients. Most coaches take on an average of 10-20 clients per month, who enroll in coaching packages. An average coaching package offers a discount for committing to 2-4 sessions per month. The math turns out to be on average $400-$2,000 per month, per coaching client.

How Much Money Do Life Coaches Make A Year?

When I have a one-on-one client, I currently charge $550 for an hour-long session. I also run a group coaching program that runs from $8,000 to $10,000 for each student, with 46 students enrolling each year. I also run retreats that are $3,000 for the weekend for each woman and range from 21-31 women attending. I run workshops, and an evergreen program that I only make once, then sell again and again while I sleep. The International Coach Federation found that most coaches offer at least one other product or service along with their one-on-one sessions.  This is how coaches make $100,000 or more per year as a coach. 

You’re still getting in early on the coaching industry’s rising tide if you’re looking into this now. For example, more and more individuals and businesses are starting to see the value of coaching and how it can transform people’s lives, both personally and professionally.

How Much Will Life Coaches Make Over The Next 5 Years?

Some more fun facts: 76% of coaches expect to see growing revenues and a growing client base over the coming years, and most coaches feel really positive about their decision to become a coach because they expect to see their businesses keep growing into the future. 

As coaching becomes an even more widely recognized industry, a more solid industry, especially if you have great training, then that sounds like job security to me. I appreciate an industry that has a high demand, multiple streams of revenue — and I love knowing that as coaches we don’t have to fit ourselves into another role or into someone else’s schedule. 

How to Create A Life Coaching Brand To Make More Money As A Coach

There’s something unique about you that someone is looking for. And that unique gift paired with high-level coach training is going to create a ripple effect that will change how we live and act in our world.  You are your brand. Know yourself, your gifts and talents and you will begin to understand what makes you unique as a coach.

Most women who enroll in my signature coach training program, are not just here to make $100,000 a year. They’re drawn to coaching because they know they want to make great money and that coaching can provide the financial security and freedom they’re seeking. More importantly they want to create a lifestyle they love and to experience true FREEDOM.  They get to choose who they work with, what they work on while they’re being of service in a very soulful way and doing meaningful work driven by heart and intuition.

The Power of Feminine Sovereignty And How it Relates to Making Great Money As A Life Coach

It’s not a term that everyone is familiar with, but it means getting to the point in your life where you feel really deeply connected to your own trust in yourself and your ability to make decisions and lead.
